Missouri’s Cooperative Water Utility
Serving Communities Since 2010
Since 2010, Missouri Water Association (MWA) has operated as a 501(C)12 nonprofit membership cooperative dedicated to the preservation, maintenance, and long-term performance of drinking water systems across Missouri.
With deep roots in the Lake of the Ozarks region and over 50 years of operational experience through our founding company, we serve communities across the state—ensuring water systems are technically sound, financially stable, and sustainably managed.
Today, MWA oversees 17 permitted water facilities, supporting over 927 households and an estimated 2,781 individuals.
About Missouri Water Association
MWA is governed by a five-member Board of Directors—each one a Member served by the Association. We are built on cooperative principles, meaning those who use the water also help shape how it’s delivered.
Our mission is to ensure small and midsized water systems remain reliable, compliant, and free of the liability that often falls on HOA boards or municipal administrators.
